This term in English, we have been learning how to write informative texts, and we used our history topic – the Romans – as inspiration for our writing.
We focused on using conjunctions (such as because, although and so) to link our ideas and explain them clearly. We also used generalisers like many, some and most to describe what Roman people did. To make our writing more detailed and interesting, we included supporting sentences and interesting facts.
We made sure our writing was well-organised, with clear paragraphs, an introduction and a conclusion. Some of us chose to write about Roman soldiers, while others focused on homes, roads, or Roman inventions.
Everyone worked hard to apply their grammar and writing skills, and we’re very proud of the informative and engaging texts we created!
