No, you are not allowed to do so. According to rules and regulations, students are not allowed to enter Malaysia for study until their MoE supporting letter has been approved. The breach of rules will lead to unsuccessful visa applications.

The validity period of a Guardian / Dependent Pass is typically parallels to the Student Pass (subject to Immigration approval).

For Non-Chinese applicants: 

The policy for cross-year applications: As the notarial certificates issued by the Embassies in Malaysia do not state an expiry or validity date, Immigration Cyberjaya will only accept them if they are submitted within three (3) months of the issue date.

For Chinese applicants:

The policy for cross-year applications: Yes, but please get a year 2025's 3rd notarization from Wisma Putra, MOFA located at Putrajaya. 

In terms of notarial certificates, please prepare the following documents: 

Children's Birth Certificate

• Ensure the biological parent’s name matches the one stated in the family letter, or Hukou-ben.

Family Letter / Hukou-ben

• If unavailable, please obtain a declaration form certified by a Commissioner of Oaths.

Additional Proof of Relationship

• Any other document that demonstrates the relationship between you and your child(ren).

In term of additional documents, please prepare the following :

Notarial certificates:

Please make arrangements to leave Malaysia for at least 72 hours and re-enter again with a new Social Visit Pass.

For Malaysia local bank account holders, you do not need to submit the mentioned receipts during Guardian Visa application.

No. Please renew or obtain a new tenancy agreement with at least 6 months of validity.

Please contact the owner or agent you are dealing with and request them to prepare one of the following documents: 

• Tenancy Extension Agreement / Letter + LHDN Stamping

• New Tenancy Agreement + LHDN Stamping

Yes, you may. However, please ensure you inform the school at least three months in advance to allow sufficient time for the MoE supporting letter application and documentation process. Once confirmed, you should also arrange to shorten the current pass to avoid any confusion at the Immigration Department, which could result in delays in future visa applications. 

According to Immigration's rules and regulations, it is not necessary to apply for a Student Visa while holding a Dependent Pass or MM2H Visa. However, please note that children holding these passes who wish to study in Malaysia must obtain the 'Permission to Study Stamp' (Kebenaran untuk Belajar) from the respective authority. 

You need to ensure a minimum balance of MYR 10,000 is maintained each month. Yes, the funds can be transferred from an overseas account, but please do let us know if the account belongs to you or your husband's account.
