PROCEDURES

For GHS claim, the fastest and most reliable way is to get the Guarantee Letter (GL), which can be applied through International Assistence Apps. The 'pay and claim' method can lead to delays and unpredictable outcomes, so we advise against it. Log-in to your IA Apps and show it to the panel hospitals.

Kindly ensure that your complete set of claim document is submitted within two weeks from the date of discharge or visit. Claims submitted beyond this timeframe will not be considered.

Students are advised to visit Sunway Medical Centre for faster discharge process.

Notes:

Expenses made out of Malaysia are not claimable.
Reprinted receipts are not acceptable.

Claim Submission Process

Notify Us within 30 days
Send an email to visa@kinghenryviii.edu.my to inform us of your claim. Please included the student name and passport number.
Document Submission
Prepare and submit all required documents in hardcopy to the KH8 Admissions and Visa Office for claim processing.
Additional Information
Provide any additional information or documentation if requested.
Processing Time
The insurance company typically takes 2–3 months to review and approve the claim.

Not required for claims below MYR500.00. For claims above MYR500.00, the doctor must write the diagnosis on the reverse side of the receipt.

Original Medical Bills and Receipts
Include all medical bills and receipts, including deposit receipts.
Itemised Medical Bill(s)
Provide a detailed, itemised medical bill for the treatment received.
Assessment/Settlement Letter
A copy of the assessment or settlement letter from another insurer, if claiming for the excess amount.
Diagnostic Report
Copies of any diagnostic reports, such as X-ray and/or MRI reports (if applicable).

Permanent Disablement

Required Documents for Claim Submission

Specialist Report
A detailed report from a specialist indicating the type and percentage of disablement, particularly in terms of permanent loss of use or function.
Photographs
Clear photographs showing the amputation of the affected limb(s).
Diagnostic Reports
Copies of diagnostic reports, such as X-ray and/or MRI reports (if applicable).
SOCSO Documentation
SOCSO’s medical report and compensation letter.

Accident Death

Required Documents for Claim Submission in Case of Death

Detailed Post-Mortem Report
A comprehensive report detailing the cause of death.
Toxicology Report (if applicable)
Results from toxicology analysis, when relevant to the case.
Death Certificate
An official copy of the deceased’s death certificate.
Police Report
A report from the police detailing the incident.
Newspaper Clippings (if applicable)
Any newspaper articles related to the incident.
Burial or Cremation Permit
An official permit for the burial or cremation.
Copy of Deceased’s Identity Card
A copy of the deceased’s identification document.
Copy of Birth Certificate (if applicable)
A copy of the deceased’s birth certificate, if required.
Additional Medical Reports
Any other medical reports or documents that can support the claim.
