Amanda Balla is the youth services assistant at the Hubbard Public Library in northeast Ohio. Amanda has a Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and previously worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years before making a career change. Upon completion of this course, Amanda will be halfway through her MLIS degree at Kent State University.
Jason Brown is a current Kent State MLIS student focusing on youth services. Jason has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Wright State University and has been living and working in show business as an actor in New York City for the last decade.
Elissa Peterson has a Bachelor's degree in elementary ed and is working on a k-12 LIS license. She is a media specialist for Toledo Public Schools. She always has a book in her hand.
Lanecia Smith works as a subject department clerk for the Cleveland Public Library and has an interest in digital media, youth services, and collection development. Lanecia has a degree from Cleveland State University in Liberal Studies. In the fall, she plans to complete her MLIS at Kent State University.
Jill Todd is a part time library aide working at Daniel Wright Elementary School in Columbus, OH, and working towards the completion of her MLIS with a concentration in School Library Media. She will graduate in 2020 and hopes to find a full time job in an elementary school where she can inspire students and teachers to become lifelong learners while sharing her passions for literature, technology, and meaningful learning experiences.
