Review: Create your own video using customizable Puppet Pals to portray an endless variety of characters and scenes. The free version offers ten locations, two ride options, and six character options to get started with your video. There are opportunities to add more options through in-app purchases. Parental controls are accessed through entering a numerical code that is presented in word form on the screen. Any child that can read will easily get around that restriction. You can record a script for the puppets to add a personal touch to the video. Photos can be used to enhance the video, but only through an in-app purchase. The options tab provides a teacher’s guide that includes lesson plan suggestions for using the app to present school book reports or brief bios to the class. Puppet Pals 2 offers a wide array of creative possibilities and would allow nonverbal users to utilize the customizable features to tell a story about themselves.
