A big thank you to BCI 6th grader Steven Donskey for raising money to purchase our custodians with some new equipment. He presented them with their new supplies the last week of school, and they were all so surprised and excited by his generosity! Thank you, Steven, for making a difference!
BCI Office Hours
The office will be closed on Fridays in June and we will be available by phone or email on Mondays. If you need to come into the office, we will be here Tuesday through Thursday from 8 am - 4 pm.
Hello from the Counseling Department!
We are excited for the 2024-2025 school year and all the fun things that are instore. At BCI, we are in charge of guidance lessons, many of the assemblies, career education and grade transition and registration events. When registering your child for the new school year, it can be very easy to opt out of all these events. When filling out the form on Info Snap, you will come across the question asking if you want to consent for your student to participate in guidance lessons. If you say yes, then your student will be allowed to participate in all the fun activities and learning we create. If you say no, your student will not have access to the following services and activities we provide:
Individual conversations with the counselor
Peer mediation with the counselor
Counseling Groups
5th Grade how to register for 6th grade lesson
6th Grade fieldtrip to KMS Pep Rally
Career Education including KCAL Visits or Fieldtrips
Crime Stopper/Friends for Life Assembly

Red Ribbon Assembly
Character Assemblies
At BCI, we truly believe it is a family’s decision to use or not use their school counselor. We are available to answer any questions about our role when we come back on our contract on July 23rd. We hope you have a wonderful summer and we look forward to supporting students in the upcoming year!

BCI 5th/6th Photographs
Hello parents! We are selling pictures of mainly our 6th graders from BCI since they are moving on up to KMS for a donation of $5. These are the large pictures that are hung in the hallways throughout our school and a few digital photos that will be emailed by Ms. Reyes. We will use money raised to purchase more photos for our hallways.
If you would like to purchase a picture, please choose "purchase" and put your name and email address. If there is not an option available to purchase, and has a name listed, then the photo has already been bought by someone else.
**Please make cash or check payment to BCI and drop off in the front office.

**There is a slight lag time when someone selects to purchase a photo before the option is removed--if you happen to select purchase on a photo that has already been bought, we will look at the time stamp and give the photo to the first in line. Parents, your students will be keeping their computers and chargers over the summer, this is for both 5th and 6th graders. If your child is not returning to a KISD campus next year they will need to turn their computers and chargers into Mrs. Brewer in the library.
