Message from our SRO:
Use of a wireless communication device is prohibited in a school zone unless the driver is using a hands-free device or the vehicle is stopped, according to Texas Transportation Code. Statewide, drivers face $200 tickets if caught using cell phones in school zones while the car is in motion.
According to The Texas Department of Transportation’s “Be Safe. Drive Smart.” public awareness campaign, there were 765 crashes in Texas school zones in 2018, resulting in 1 death and 15 serious injuries.
Dear BCI parents,
It’s that time of year…….puberty video viewing time!
On Friday, March 1st, the students will be watching the puberty videos linked below. I have attached links for each video below for you to view in advance. It may be helpful to watch this video in advance with your student to answer any questions they may not want to ask at school. Boys and girls will view the films separately during their co-curr time.
The REQUIRED PERMISSION FORM is attached and must be completed and turned in to your student’s homeroom teacher by Wednesday, February 28th. If the permission form is not signed and returned, your student will not be able to view the video.
If you choose for your student to opt out of watching the video, they will be allowed to go to the library during this time.
