Egg

Sharks can either keep their young inside them, like humans, or place them in the water in eggs.  

The ‘ball’ inside the egg, called a yolk, gives the baby shark all they need to survive till they come out to be pups.

A shark takes between 9 months to 2 years to hatch from the egg.
