Egg

The mother crocodile digs a hole near the riverbank to make a nest.

She lays her eggs in the nest, but will also move to a new nest if she needs to, carrying the eggs in her mouth.

Crocodiles can lay between 20 and 60 eggs each time.

The eggs take about 80 days to hatch. The mother crocodile will protect the nest for this time.
