When the nymph is ready it will crawl up on to a stem and break out of the larva skin. This is called molting or shedding.

If you look near a pond you may be lucky enough to find a dragonfly skin, they stay on the stems after the dragonfly flies away!

Adult dragonflies live for around 2 months.

They eat mosquitos and flies!

In this time, they will start the dragonfly life cycle again.
