Hatchling

When the crocodiles hatch they are around 20-30cms long.

They will stay with the other eggs in the nest and call for their mother to come.  She will take them to the water when enough of the have hatched.

Hatchlings grow around 30cms a year, but this slows down after 5 years.

Hatchlings love to eat things like flies, shrimp and snails!
