After the eggs hatch, the dragonfly becomes a nymph, the larva stage of it's lifecycle.

The eggs hatch in ponds or shallow water that doesn't move much, this keeps the nymphs safe.

This stage of the life cycle can take up to 4 years.

Dragonfly nymphs eat small animals, like small fish and tadpoles!
