It takes a chicken around a day to make an egg, but they can lay an egg every day!

The chick inside the egg will take 21 days to grow, then it will hatch!

For the time the chick is inside the egg it needs to be kept warm.  Hens do this by sitting on the eggs!

Egg shells come in lots of different colors, it all depends on the hen, but the inside of each is just the same.
