Our club came together to create this special storybook, inspired by Teacher Uni’s Oh no! The Great Crisis in Media Town. We wanted to find a fun and creative way to promote media literacy—the ability to think critically about the information we see online and in the news.
To bring this book to life, we brainstormed the main idea, developed the storyline, and carefully designed and drew each page. Using Canva on our Chromebooks, and also with the help of chrome canvas, we added color and creativity to every scene.
The story follows Skeptia, a curious girl who questions everything—so much so that even her ponytail is shaped like a question mark! As rumors spread and online trends take over, Skeptia learns the importance of fact-checking and thinking before believing. She also taught the people on earth how to distinguish the news if it is fake or not.
Want to see how Skeptia navigates a world full of misinformation? Check out our storybook and join her on this eye-opening adventure!
