Producers: Dorothy, Yvonne, Lavina, & Arissa
This short video features Dorothy, Yvonne, and Lavina discovering a fake message about their school looking for "repeaters." Yvonne notices something suspicious and warns her friends. They report it to their teacher, Ms. Arissa, who confirms that it’s a scam. The video ends with a school announcement warning students about fake messages and providing tips on verifying information, such as using LINE 訊息查證 and the Taiwan FactCheck Center. The key takeaway? Always double-check before believing or sharing information!
We decided to create this video after Ms. Alicia from NTNU introduced media literacy topics about scams. It reminded us of a real event when a parent called the school after receiving an advertisement falsely claiming that our school was recruiting "story repeaters." Inspired by this incident, we adapted it into a video to raise awareness about the importance of verifying online information.
Studetns were excited to see their fellow schoolmates acting in the video.
They provided positive feedback on Padlet after watching the video.
