Producers: Oliver, Ian, Chris, Matilda, & Luna
In our video about cyberbullying, Ian wasn’t happy because Oliver earned more AR points than him. To get back at him, Ian logged into Oliver’s account and started “trolling” him. He also teamed up with Luna, and together they decided to spread rumors about Oliver on the school’s anonymous platform. At school, Ian and Luna laughed at Oliver and mocked his profile. They even said mean things about him, which led to others avoiding Oliver the next day. No one in class wanted to work with him in group projects. Eventually, the homeroom teacher, Ms. Matilda, discovered that Ian and Luna were behind the bullying. She, along with Mr. Chris from the counseling office, had a serious talk with them to address their behavior.
When filming the video, we changed our script once, the old script was a little different from cyberbullying so we changed it. We used the Counseling Room for the scenes set at home and for the part where Mr. Chris and Ms. Matilda talked to Ian and Luna. Scenes 3, 4, and 7 were filmed in the classroom. For the rest of the scenes, we used various locations around the school, such as the Secret Base and the tree house in the library.
The biggest challenges we faced were revising the script and scheduling. At first, our script didn’t fully capture the idea of cyberbullying. With help from our club members and teachers, we revised it and re-filmed the entire video to improve it. Scheduling was also tricky because Chris couldn’t always join us for filming, which delayed the process. Despite these challenges, we worked together as a team to overcome them and complete the video.
