English

The English Program at Kang Chiao International School-Taipei Campus is designed to support students with diverse levels of language proficiency and is aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grades 7-10. The program offers two distinct streams: English Language Acquisition, divided into three phases, and English Language and Literature, which is structured into three proficiency levels—Emerging, Regular, and Honors. Both streams emphasize the critical role of language in learning and communication. Language instruction is seamlessly integrated across the curriculum, with all teachers actively contributing as language instructors to enhance students' linguistic abilities and creative expression.

The program focuses on building core language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—through inquiry-based learning. It fosters critical thinking and intercultural awareness, with a strong emphasis on multilingualism. Students have the opportunity to learn additional languages and explore diverse cultures, equipping them with the skills to communicate effectively in global contexts. This approach supports lifelong learning, personal development, and prepares students for success in an interconnected world.
