坂本龍馬脱藩の道

「河辺ふるさとの宿・才谷屋」がある大洲市河辺町は、幕末の志士坂本龍馬が、文久２年に土佐藩を脱藩した際に通ったとされる「脱藩の道」があることでも知られ、高知県との県境梼原町韮ケ峠（にらがさき）から西予市野村町を通って、大洲市河辺町に入る榎ケ峠（えのきがとうげ）から内子町五十崎との境泉ケ峠（いずみがとうげ）までが、文化庁選定「歴史の道百選」にも登録されています。

「河辺ふるさとの宿・才谷屋」がある大洲市河辺町を横切る "龍馬脱藩の道" は全長14kmに及びますが、龍馬の脱藩をほんの少しだけ歩いてみる "無料" プチセルフツアー（一部有料メニューも有り）をご用意しています。「河辺ふるさとの宿・才谷屋」をご宿泊などでご利用いただいた利用者様にチェックイン・チェックアウト前後の日程の日中の時間を利用して現地までご案内いたします（セミセルフツアーのため、現地への道路案内とスタート地点までのご案内が主となります）。

Sakamoto Ryoma's way out of the domain

Kawabe-cho, Ozu City, where Kawabe Furusato no Yado and Saitaniya are located, is also known for the "Road of Defeat," which is said to have been taken by Sakamoto Ryoma, an aspirant at the end of the Edo period, when he left the Tosa Domain in 2 Bunkyu (1867).The road from Enokigatoge in Yusuhara to Izumigatoge, which passes through Nomura Town, Yusuhara, and borders on Ikazaki, Uchiko Town, has been selected as one of the "100 Historic Roads" by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.

The location of the “path of the clan's secession” in the video is the starting point at the location of this staircase (Google map PLUS CODE: GQ8F+QMP) near the Houjigatou Pass (Google map PLUS CODE: GQ9G+GM). Since the Ryoma Departure Route goes in the opposite direction, the return trip back to the road will retrace the actual deportation.

-- The “Road of Ryoma's Departure from the Domain” is 14 km long and crosses Kawabe-cho, Ozu City, where “Kawabe Furusato-no-Yado and Saidaniya” is located. A “free” petit self-guided tour (some tours have a fee) is available for those who wish to take a short walk along the path. We will guide you to the site during the daytime before and after your check-in/check-out at “Kawabe Furusato no Yado and Saidaniya” (semi-self guided tour, so you will only be guided to the site and to the starting point of the tour).
