ArcGIS is an incredibly powerful professional tool that allows you to create maps. You can place information on the map, you can adjust the scale and the type of map, you can turn the map (or maps) into a story with pop-up text, photos, and scrolling text boxes.
This is an example of a Story Map I made over the summer. I created the maps and added all the information, I inserted the pictures between the maps, and I added the text boxes to tell my story.
Sixth-graders designed Story Maps explaining the village they created after the end of civilization as we know it. Scroll through to learn about their vision for their village. The square with an arrow in the bottom right corner of their map will load it in a new page, making the text and maps easier to enjoy. Take note that you can scroll and zoom the map to explore the area.
