The Media and Design Competition is run through the state Intermediary Units and is open to all schools. Students can compete in a variety of categories - 3D design, animations, short digital film, logo design, programing, and website design.
Open to: Grades 6 through 12, separated into middle and high school categories.
Timeline: Information comes out during the winter, entries are due April 16th.
School Commitment Level: Low - much of it can be completed individually, working around the student's schedule.
Time Outside of Meetings: Medium - projects can be pretty involved.
Academic Focus Areas: This program focuses on areas of technology and artistic creativity.
Skills Developed: This program incorporates and develops technical and artistic skills.
