In October, University Middle School, and High School took the PSAT and are now interpreting their score reports from the exam.
The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test, or PSAT, is a precursor for the actual SAT which is used for college admissions decisions.
The test examines student performance in Reading, Writing and Language, and Mathematics.
The results from this test will be used to determine if students are ready for Dual Enrollment, and what classes they would be best in.
“The SAT is a college entrance exam,” Dr. Nicara McKenzie, the UHS School Counselor, said. “So if students are interested in applying and attending a college/university, then they could utilize their score on the PSAT and strengthen their test-taking skills to apply to the SAT that could be used when applying for colleges.”
If you need assistance analyzing your performance, please reach out to the UHS Administration.
