ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed)
Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, students from households with incomes at or below 300% of the federal poverty level are now eligible for one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day under Act 139. This aims to support ohana classified as ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) and qualifies an additional 12,000 public school students.
