Friendzy: We all have times in life when we feel stressed and anxious. When we are stressed it affects our minds, emotions, and bodies. During this month’s third Friendzy unit, we will be equipped with tools to use as we work through stress and uncertainty as it comes. Our Friendzy focus this month is “Stress Less—Breathe Easy.” We will be studying Matthew 6:26-27 and 1 Peter 5:7 as our Biblical anchor points this month.

This week in math we will wrap up Chapter 5: Systems of Equations. we will review all three methods for solving; Graphing, Substitution, & Elimination. We will take a "post test" for this unit, covering all the content and getting extra practice on these heavily used and required concepts.

Targets:
This week we will begin our next unit on Chapter 5, systems of equations. Students will learn three methods for solving systems: Solving by graphing, substitution, and elimination. Students will also be familiar with special situations where we may see infinitely many or no solutions. Towards the end of the unit, we will learn how to represent all the possible solutions to given systems of inequalities. This will be our last unit covered in the "semester format", so students can expect a semester 1 exam following this chapter.

This week we will be learning more about verbals, which are verb forms that do not function as verbs. We will review infinitives, learn about gerunds, and then learn about participles.
