What we're learning & doing in class: This week we will be starting our new unit about the events surrounding the birth of Jesus. We will start by talking about the announcement to Zechariah about the birth of John the Baptist.

Reading/Writing: This week we will continue read our nonfiction text about animal cells. The goal of this unit is to help students understand the features of informational texts (definitions, diagrams, headers, etc.) and help them to comprehend these texts.
