Learning Targets - We will begin a new reading unit. We will be reading Inside Out and Back Again.

Learning Targets:  This week, we will delve deeper into Proverbs.  We will discuss the advice Proverbs has for us. Some of the key topics this week will be wisdom and folly, gossip, friendship, and trustworthiness.

Learning Targets: 

This week in science we will continue our unit on Human Systems. We will start to focus mainly on the nervous system and how we interact with the world (using our 5 senses). Last week we explored the sense of touch. This week we will explore sight, taste, smell, and hearing. We will continue to learn more about our sensory receptors and how the nervous system aids us in sending messages to and from our brain in order to form a response.

Social Studies: We will begin our discussion of the Roman Republic by exploring how their republic was set up and why Romans hated the idea of a king.  We will then talk about the Punic War, and why it led to the downfall of the Republic.

Math: In the upcoming week students will continue their new unit on Equations and Inequalities. Our learning targets will cover how to solve two-step equations. This unit will have two tests. One to cover equations and the other inequalities. Our equations test will be this week.
