How has the problem developed throughout the story?

Explain how the problem developed throughout the story.

There were many layers of problems throughout the novel, Lion Down, by Stuart Gibbs.  The main problem of the story was that the main character, Teddy, and his best friend, Summer, were trying to figure out who killed the protagonists dog.  The protagonist, Lincoln Stone, publically accused a wild mountain lion of killing his "precious" dog, King.  Teddy and Summer have a strong suspicion that the local mountain lion was not the cause of King's untimely death.  They team up with some young adults, Lily and Tommy to try to solve the mystery of who killed King.  Throughout their journey of discovering the truth, they encountered a storm of turkeys, wild rapids and endless hours of investigation.   Each of these mini-adventures had their own mini-problems to be solved or decisions to be made to get out of the sticky situations.  Finally, the duo solves the mystery of the poor dogs demise and saves the mountain lion's reputation and overall life.  These examples from the story show the problem was well developed and kept the reader on their seats.
