East Jackson Middle School Community,

We have had another eventful week here at EJMS. From literacy screening, to the success of our athletic programs, and our first Fun Friday of the year, a lot has been happening. Our second round of literacy screening will continue again this week. This individualized screening will allow us to continue to identify specific areas of student needs and support these areas. Student athletes continue to excel in football, volleyball, softball, and cross country. We are extremely proud of their hard work, dedication, and the way they represent EJMS.

As we continue to make progress and stride to improve here at EJMS, I would like for us all to take a moment and reflect on the significance this week holds with regard to 9/11. This day in our history continues to serve as a reminder of the resilience and unity we share in the face of adversity. We remember and honor the lives lost, and celebrate the strength of a nation who came together. September 11th allows us the opportunity to instill in our students the values of compassion, empathy, and community. It is through this that we will continue to shape not only the academic growth of our students, but help them develop character and understanding of the world around them.

Once again, thank you for your continued support of the students and staff here at EJMS.

School Clinic Information

The Jackson County School System will no longer be offering over-the-counter medications to students.

Medications including Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Pepto Bismol, Tums and Benadryl will no longer be offered.
If your student(s) will require these medications during school hours, the medication must be brought to the school and registered into the clinic by a parent/guardian.
No medications should be kept in a student’s possession while at school without a physician’s approval and note.

Bus Routes

Bus routes for the 2023-24 school year are now available by visiting this link.

Stay up to date on your child's progress using your computer or phone.

Canvas Parent

Parents have access to Canvas Parent Observer accounts. These accounts will allow you to see an overview of what your child is learning and have access to a "Parent Resource" hub. This hub will have information specific to your child's teacher. You will find information about the teacher, contact information, a daily schedule, grade level standards, etc.

If you have an Infinite Campus parent portal account, you already have an account created! Please see the attached picture for your username and password.
