It is Gameday and a Hometown Showdown between the Jackson County Panthers and the East Jackson Eagles! JV boys get the night started at 4:30, with varsity girls at 6 and boys at 7:30! The Clarke County School District has invited students from the Jackson County School System to participate in an upcoming 3-game adaptive basketball season. The cost is free and equipment and uniforms will be provided. Practices begin in December and games begin in January.

Pre-Kindergarten lottery registration for the 2024-25 school year opens this Friday, December 1. Families can register for the lottery through Friday, February 16. Please note this application does not guarantee admission into a Pre-K program inside the Jackson County School System, but is rather an application into the lottery. JCSS will hold a lottery drawing in March and families will be notified following the drawing. To register for the lottery, please visit www.jacksonschoolsga.org/register.

Clinic Information
The Jackson County School System will no longer be offering over-the-counter medications to students.
Medications including Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Pepto Bismol, Tums, and Benadryl will no longer be offered.
If your student(s) will require these medications during school hours, the medication must be brought to the school and registered into the clinic by a parent/guardian.
No medications should be kept in a student’s possession while at school without a physician’s approval and note

Canvas Information
Parents have access to Canvas Parent Observer accounts. These accounts will allow you to see an overview of what your child is learning and have access to a "Parent Resource" hub. This hub will have information specific to your child's teacher. You will find information about the teacher, contact information, a daily schedule, grade level standards, etc.
If you have an Infinite Campus parent portal account, you already have an account created! Please see the attached picture for your username and password.

Congratulations to the EJMS Jr. Vet Science CDE (Career Development Event) team for placing 6th in the Area 2 contest! They were the second-highest-scoring middle school team in the event! Team members include Sidney Crouch, Ally Miller, Jessie Mathis, and Avril Avellaneda!
