We are thrilled to announce that all JCSS schools are adopting the Raptor Safe mobile application as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing school safety, while streamlining visitor management check-in at our schools. The Raptor Safe app builds upon existing visitor procedures, offering a more convenient and secure check-in process for visitors.
What is the Raptor Safe App? The Raptor Safe app offers a convenient and secure way for visitors to manage and verify their identity before arriving at a school. With the Raptor Passport feature, visitors can pre-verify their identity, allowing for a seamless sign-in process when they arrive on campus.
How Does It Work? When visiting a school, visitors can use their secure QR code generated by the app to expedite the check-in process. QR codes automatically regenerate every 5 minutes to ensure security and prevent misuse.

School Window Link for School Payments
We are thrilled to share that our school system is switching from SchoolPay to School Window as our payment platform. This platform does not require a log in and families can add multiple items, from multiple schools, to their cart before closing out payment. Furthermore, School Window does not charge families a credit card processing fee. Attached to this message is a family guide to help you learn more about School Window. At full price for the 2025-26 School Year:
Breakfast costs $1.50 in the elementary schools and $1.75 in the middle and high schools.
Lunch costs $2.25 in the elementary schools and $2.75 in the middle and high schools.
Adults can eat with their children at $3.00 for breakfast or $5.00 for lunch

Parent Square Information
We are moving to ParentSquare as a classroom, school, and district mass communication platform. Families should have received an invitation via the email address associated with a student inside the Parent Portal! Download the app today!
When do you receive your Parent Square notification?
By default, each Parent Square account is set to "digest" settings. Digest delivers all messages together at 6 pm to your email/text, while instant allows users to receive an email/text the minute the message is posted. You have the ability to change your notification preferences in your account settings.
Canvas Parent Information
Parents have access to Canvas Parent Observer accounts. These accounts will allow you to see an overview of what your child is learning and have access to a "Parent Resource" hub. This hub will have information specific to your child's teacher. You will find information about the teacher, contact information, a daily schedule, grade level standards, etc.
