EJMS Kroger Food Pantry Information
EJMS Kroger Food Pantry Information
The East Jackson Middle School Kroger Food Pantry is available to provide additional food support to families who may benefit from it. Students who participate will receive a food bag each Friday to take home.
Please note the following:
Students will place their food bag in their personal backpack and bring it home on Friday.
If a student does not take their food bag home for two consecutive weeks, they will be removed from the list.
Please remind your student that the food provided is intended for their family and should not be shared or given away at school or on the bus.
This service is provided to support families who are experiencing a need for additional food assistance.
Parents and guardians may also visit the EJMS Food Pantry on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7:00–7:30 AM and 3:00–3:30 PM

When available, parents/guardians may pick up frozen foods, laundry detergent, hygiene items, and other available household items.

The Raptor Safe app builds upon existing visitor procedures, offering a more convenient and secure check-in process for visitors.
What is the Raptor Safe App? The Raptor Safe app offers a convenient and secure way for visitors to manage and verify their identity before arriving at a school. With the Raptor Passport feature, visitors can pre-verify their identity, allowing for a seamless sign-in process when they arrive on campus.
How Does It Work? When visiting a school, visitors can use their secure QR code generated by the app to expedite the check-in process. QR codes automatically regenerate every 5 minutes to ensure security and prevent misuse.

We are thrilled to share that our school system is switching from SchoolPay to School Window as our payment platform. This platform does not require a log in and families can add multiple items, from multiple schools, to their cart before closing out payment. Parent Square Information
We are moving to ParentSquare as a classroom, school, and district mass communication platform. Families should have received an invitation via the email address associated with a student inside the Parent Portal! Download the app today!
When do you receive your Parent Square notification?
By default, each Parent Square account is set to "digest" settings. Digest delivers all messages together at 6 pm to your email/text, while instant allows users to receive an email/text the minute the message is posted. You have the ability to change your notification preferences in your account settings.
Canvas Parent Information
Parents have access to Canvas Parent Observer accounts. These accounts will allow you to see an overview of what your child is learning and have access to a "Parent Resource" hub. This hub will have information specific to your child's teacher. You will find information about the teacher, contact information, a daily schedule, grade level standards, etc.
