East Jackson Middle School Community,

As we approach the much-anticipated Fall Break, we'd like to remind everyone that this week will be a three-day school week for our students. It's a great opportunity for everyone to recharge and enjoy this well-deserved break. Despite the shorter week, we encourage our students to continue working diligently and staying focused on their classes. Consistency and dedication are key to success, and maintaining a strong work ethic will pay off in the long run.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming East Side Community Fall Festival on the 26th! This exciting event promises an evening of fun, games, trunk or treating and community bonding. We can't wait to see our students, families, and staff come together to celebrate the vibrant East Jackson community.

School Clinic Information

The Jackson County School System will no longer be offering over-the-counter medications to students.

Medications including Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Pepto Bismol, Tums, and Benadryl will no longer be offered.
If your student(s) will require these medications during school hours, the medication must be brought to the school and registered into the clinic by a parent/guardian.
No medications should be kept in a student’s possession while at school without a physician’s approval and note

If your child is out sick, please remember to turn in doctor/parent notes to the front office.

Canvas Information

Parents have access to Canvas Parent Observer accounts. These accounts will allow you to see an overview of what your child is learning and have access to a "Parent Resource" hub. This hub will have information specific to your child's teacher. You will find information about the teacher, contact information, a daily schedule, grade level standards, etc.

If you have an Infinite Campus parent portal account, you already have an account created! Please see the attached picture for your username and password.
