Mrs. Figueroa received the inaugural Bradford Bear PawPrint Award. The Bradford Bear PawPrint Award, nominated and chosen by the fifth graders of Cornelia F. Bradford, PS #16, recognizes an exceptional staff member who has left a lasting impression on their educational journey. The graduating class of 2024 presented her with the award during the 5th-grade luncheon on Monday.
Kindergarten celebrated their moving up ceremonies with an aloha theme. Both children and teachers wore colorful Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts, and leis, bringing a vibrant splash of the islands to the event. The highlight of the day was the presentation of certificates, each child receiving theirs with a big smile from their teacher. The audience clapped and cheered, celebrating the hard work and growth of these young learners. The sense of community and togetherness was palpable, with parents chatting and taking photos, capturing memories of this special milestone.
Fifth graders were bid farewell with a cheerful clap-out by their fellow Bradford Bears. Students from grades 2 through 4, teachers, and staff lined the hallways of CFB, PS #16, and cheered on the 5th graders as they walked towards their Moving On ceremony.
Emotions ran high as these 76 incredible students were celebrated for their achievements and awarded 20 scholarships in recognition of their hard work and dedication. Reflective speeches and well wishes created a truly memorable occasion. We'll miss you, graduating class of 2024!
Third graders created an affirmation chain to spread positivity. Each student contributed a link to the chain, writing down their own personal affirmation or a kind message for their classmates.
see you in September...
