Day 3 (Sunday, June 8): Cuma, caves and Acropolis

After breakfast at either the Villa or The Lemon Tree, the group visits the archeological site of Cuma, the oldest Greek settlement on the Italian mainland. We enter the (ruined) temple of Apollo, the early Christian basilica on the acropolis, and the cave of the Sibyl, the ancient prophetess. In the mid-afternoon the group is free to relax and explore the Villa Vergiliana and its grounds (the Greek amphitheater and vineyard sited in its grounds). After the aperitif hour dinner is served at the Villa Vergiliana.
