The estimated cost of this trip, which is subject to change, is $5500* for students, $5900 for adults (based on double occupancy). Please note that these figures DO NOT include airfare to/from Europe.
The first deposit, in the amount of $1500, is due by 3 pm, October 18 (Friday); after that date it's possible that a surcharge may have to be levied if prices in Italy rise. The deposit is partly refundable and fully transferable (i.e., in the event of your not being able to go, funds deposited could be fully transferred to another individual whom you appoint to travel in your stead). Please make checks out to John Burroughs School, with "Classics Trip" in the memo line.
*For Burroughs students with demonstrated need, financial aid for attending an international trip is available on a one-time basis during their high-school careers. For further information regarding this aid, please contact Keith Vassall, (kvassall@jburroughs.org).
There are two schedules for payment: you may choose which is best for you, but when you sign up for the Trip, you must specify which schedule you will be following: A or B:
Schedule A
1. deposit of $1500 by 3 pm, October 18 (Friday); after that date, contact us directly.
2. balance of $4000 by 3 pm, January 7 (Tuesday).
3. $400† and surcharges‡ (if applicable) by 3 pm, May 29 (Tuesday).
Schedule B
1. deposit of $1500 by October 18; after that date, contact us directly.
2. instalment of $2000 is due by 3 pm, January 7 (Tuesday).
3. instalment of $2000 is due by 3 pm, April 1 (Tuesday).
4. $400† and surcharges‡ (if applicable) are due by 3 pm, May 29 (Tuesday).
