The Learn at Home offerings from VIA are education programs selected specifically to be used for lessons in the classroom or in the home. Many of the programs have complementing grade band specific resources that can be found with the programming.

WVIA invites educators from view area to create content to be aired during the Learn at Home programming.

Video requirements and submission.
Videos can be filmed using cell phone in the horizontal mode, Zoom or Google Meet recordings or any other recording device.
Minimum requirements for video would be MP4 and a 1920 x 1080 screen size.
The lesson must be at least 23 minutes and no more than 25 minutes in length and must be one complete clip.
Introduce yourself where you are from and the lesson when you begin and then close by thanking students for watching and to watch VIA for more lessons.
Submit 5 days prior to air date for closed caption addition.

Nightly Storytime with VIA
WVIA launching Nightly Storytime with VIA Initiative
PITTSTON, Pa.– In an effort to inspire and encourage reading at home, as well as connecting with our viewers, VIA has launched Nightly Storytime with VIA. Each night on the WVIA Education Facebook page, members of the VIA Education department and other staff members will read to our youngest viewers and their families using books received in a recent grant from the United Way and First Book. It is our hope to connect, educate, and entertain you as we all work through this uncertain time.
