  • What is a Raspberry Pi?

    • The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python. It’s capable of doing everything you’d expect a desktop computer to do, from browsing the internet and playing high-definition video, to making spreadsheets, word-processing, and playing games.

  • Is Kolibri the only resource or site my students could use when they connect with their Raspberry Pi?

    • Kolibri is a platform that houses resources such as Khan Academy, Ck12, PHET Interactive, Blockly Coding, and many other resources. Students can also use the Pi to build and learn about electronics, programming, and/or build their own robots. Students can use any resources that is preloaded on to Kolibri.

  • How will the coursework ‘exchange’ happen?

    • Syncing is possible if the device is in the range of a syncing server. This process can happen by dropping off the device at school or a roaming sync server that travels and syncs with devices. Reach out to us for more details on the logistics of syncing.

  • Are there student, teacher, and parent support?

    • We are working on building a community of support.
