I am studying Social Work and I will receive my BSW in the spring of 2026. I will attend Graduate School to receive my masters degree in social work! This page highlights the evolution of my professional and personal identity through a comparative display of academic artifacts. It features "Intention Statements" and "Journey Maps" from both the beginning and end of my undergraduate career, specifically contrasting early goals with current achievements in the Bachelor of Social Work program. These reflections demonstrate a shift from early exploration to a more confident, goal-oriented focus on social impact and future professional aspirations.
This page details the development of a clinical guidebook focused on Motivational Interviewing (MI), created as part of an Honors Contract for a generalist social work practice course. This project synthesizes evidence-based communication strategies, like the OARS framework and core MI principles, into an accessible resource designed to resolve client ambivalence and empower autonomy. Through this project, I have demonstrated advanced competency in clinical knowledge, professional communication, and the transition from theoretical understanding to collaborative, client-centered intervention design.
My "Emerging Expertise" highlights my development of expertise in policy analysis and its impact on social work practice. This page features 3 key projects as evidece of this expertise: an advocacy analysis of school-based mental health center legislation, the "ChildCare Connect" website developed to simplify child welfare policy, and a research-based evaluation of Department of Child Services (DCS) caseload standards.
This page offers a holistic reflection of the changes I have gone through during my time as an honors scholar and social work student at IU Indinapolis.
