This class has helped me to grow and become more comfortable with branching out as far as engaged learning and other volunteer opportunities are concerned. I have also learned a lot about how "how college works" with this class and it has connected me with lots of amazing people from different majors, advisors, and resources.

This class has opened my eyes to a different way of learning history. This class is heavily lecture based and I have found that I actually learn a lot better this way. It also focuses on a much smaller time period which allows for more detailed instruction, which has been beneficial for me as well.

Throughout my high school career, I never took any public speaking classes and did not fully know that I was getting myself into one when I enrolled into this class. I can say that this class has taught me a lot about public speaking and the different styles of rhetoric. I have become much more comfortable in front of a crowd as well.

I have always done really well in the math courses that I have taken, however, I tend to lose the knowledge really quickly as there are a lot of different concepts that are covered. This class has really helped me to brush up on a lot of the topics I studied in high school while also teaching me new ways to approach certain problems.
