Head Chair

My name is Brian and I am a senior at International School Bangkok. This is now my fourth year doing MUN and I am glad I got the opportunity to chair SPECPOL for IASAS this year. To me, MUN has always been more about the people than the activity itself. Although MUN itself has grown me into a better person overall, one of the best parts about it was that I was able to meet great people and build strong friendships in the process. So, I'd just like to say try your best in MUN, but also take this conference as an opportunity to build good relationships with others. To talk a bit more about myself, I sing and I am quite involved in tech things. I also think I am quite approachable, so feel free to talk to me any time.

Deputy Chair

My name is Mrinalini Wadhwa, and I am a senior at the American Embassy School in New Delhi. I grew up in New York City, and joined MUN after moving to Delhi in seventh grade. Six years and ten conferences later, I am excited for the new experiences this year brings in my fourth and final IASAS Conference. Besides MUN, I play badminton, learn Indian classical dance, paint for my IB Art class, and volunteer to teach English to underprivileged students near our high school. I’ll never forget debating in IASAS 2017’s SPECPOL committee as a sophomore. Having two supportive chairs and creative delegates made the three days of debate a highlight in my MUN experience. Two years later, I look forward to hearing a new round of arguments, epiphanies, compromises, and solutions, and three more days of indelible memories at IASAS 2019.
