Greetings delegates!

It gives me immense pleasure as I - Rohan Mathur, chair of ASEAN at IASAS 2019 - welcome you to Kuala Lumpur for 3-days of fruitful and productive debate on some of the most pressing issues in South-east Asia.

I am currently a senior at the American International School of Dhaka in Bangladesh. My experiences living in 5 countries on 3 continents is part of the reason why I am so passionate about MUN and the pursuit of multiculturalism. I will try my utmost to make IASAS 2019 both enriching and fun!

Deputy Chair

Hi delegates!!

I'm Raghav Narayanswamy, the deputy chair for ASEAN, and I'm incredibly excited to welcome you to our committee at IASAS 2019 in KL!

I was born in Singapore, and I’m now a senior at Singapore American School – in my 15th year at the school. Since starting my MUN career in KL at my first conference four years ago, I’ve been to eight MUN and HMC conferences from Singapore to Hong Kong to Seoul, with each experience being meaningful and interesting in its own way. While IASAS 2019 unfortunately will be my final conference, I’m thrilled for the opportunity to chair a committee so relevant to each and every IASAS student.

I’m looking forward to meeting you all in November to discuss pressing issues facing Southeast Asia at large!

Location of Committee: Social Studies 5
