The mural I’ve made is about my rabbit, Coco drawing.
This sparks my imagination because my whole life is about her, she always makes me happy and when I am without her I feel lonely.
The images in my mural that convey this are my rabbit Coco, a paintbrush, a palette, paint on the palette, music notes and carrots
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be on a wall that is next to Coco’s cage.
The meaning/purpose would be animals can be I want her to know, I love her and I would do anything lovely for her.
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is on the trams.
The meaning/purpose would be different here because animals can be just as talented and intelligent as humans, I would love to spread this message for the world to see.
The mural I’ve made is about the ocean's environment and how we can make it a better place.
This sparks my imagination because I swim in the ocean every weekend during the summer and there are a lot of oils, and plastic floating around, so I really wanted to raise some awareness.
The images in my mural that convey this are: plants on my drawing
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be near the pier, like the central pier or in the sai Kung.
The meaning/purpose would be to raise awareness and let people see if there is no litter on the ocean, how clean will our sea be?
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is on public transport so that people all around can see it.
The meaning/purpose would be different here because it shows different definitions in different places.
The mural I’ve made is about HK and how unique it is. Unlike other cities, most of our land belongs to the forest, meaning there are more types of coexisting of life.
This sparks my imagination because HK has a lot of interesting landmarks and animals, but most importantly, it's where I have grown up, so I want to express something about this beautiful city. The images in my mural that convey this are the diversity of animals in HK and how there are graffiti and works of art all around us.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be on a tram or some type of public vehicl. The meaning would be it would be like the birds on my mural, moving around and never staying still for long.
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is on a wall near where people go often. The meaning/purpose would be different here because instead of representing how birds move, it would instead be about how there are still aspects of nature in HK and how birds are a main part of the city's life. So even though we are in a concrete jungle, animals like humans, boars, and birds still coexist together.
The mural I’ve made is about the aspects of nature, including flowers, trees, the sea, and much more. I’ve also included some patterns on the tree branches and the flower branches and leaves, because I also really like art, and I want to include some patterns that we draw or include in our artworks in this mural design that we are doing.
This sparks my imagination because I really enjoy walking to the park, and even going hiking, and seeing lots of nature stuff. I really enjoy it, because it gives me a really relaxing and comfortable feeling, and always when I feel tired or I just finish a test, and my heart is thumping or I feel super tired and sleepy, I always go out to the nature, and just have a walk, since it makes me feel more relaxed.
The images in my mural that convey this are the flowers, the trees, the sea, the sun, the grass, and much more. On the sides of my tram, it's just the sea at the bottom, and flowers and trees and grass are growing out of it, and the sun is just on the front of the tram, which is just like an orangey round circle. I also want to show the aspects of nature in HK, and many other places, and show it to everybody.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be on a tram.
The meaning/purpose would be I want more people to see my mural/ design, so that when the tram is moving, or even stopping at different stations/ places, more and more people would see the mural! Also, I want to let everybody know the aspects of nature in HK, so that people in HK or even people who just moved to HK would know what HK is like, and they would also recognise the different aspects we have in HK. When the tram is moving, I just want to spread this message to everybody!
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is on a wall where a lot of people can see.
The meaning/purpose would be different here because the wall doesn’t move like a tram, and the wall waits for the people passing by to see it, unlike the tram, ecause the tram moves around so that different people could see. When people are walking around or just hanging out on the streets, they could maybe see my design. I would also choose to paint it on walls that are near people’s houses or even beside restaurants, because if I paint it near people’s houses, when people that live in the houses pass by to the streets, then they would see my design. Walls are also more eye-catching, than the staircases or the floor, because when people are walking, they don’t look at their feet or the floor when they walk, they look towards their front, their sides, and admire the things around them, not looking at their feet and the floor!
The mural I created is about the relationship between nature and people throughout the thousands of years they have coexisted on our planet. On the opposite side of the mural, however, it is colourless, with the sole indication that humans and nature have vanished, implying death.
This piques my interest since nature and humanity have coexisted on this planet for many years, but I'm curious about what would happen if any of them vanished, and how our world would change. What does our planet look like when we remove the constraints and borders?
The pictures in my mural that represent this are the contrast between a world full of color, vibrant with life, and a barren, dark, and cold realm.
versatile to the empty dark and dead cold place our world would be without life.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be, I would want this piece of art to be hidden in the depths of nature, because though it may never be seen, it would be something I and future people who would probably dig it out because the need for construction space…would see.
The meaning/purpose would be for the people that do see it to be more mindful of how we treat nature and how reliant we are on it, and how humans would cease to exist or thrive without, though we are the prime reason for the destruction.
Another location where I hope I could paint my mural is on an aircraft since it would be seen from all over the world, similar to how nature occurs on every continent and country.
The meaning/goal would be different since it would be about nature, to nature, and for nature, whether visible or not, but it would be for the same aim of allowing more people to observe and marvel about it.
We all live on the same planet, and while nature can survive without us, we can't survive without it. Nature is the base of our human life and the key to human resilience, health, stability, and wellbeing, no matter how affluent, sophisticated, or technologically evolved we are.
As we all know in the arts, social activities, and community contact may help us deal with serious issues like loneliness and aging. It can help us feel more involved and resilient by boosting our confidence. Aside from these advantages, art participation reduces anxiety, despair, and stress.
I hope my art can serve this purpose for our community/ society. I hope I can continue to try to express different quotes and meaning throughout my art whether it is meant for many to see of something only some may be able to "pleasure".
The mural I’ve made is about a girl who sings her heart out into her favourite spot with nature, with nothing listening to her except the waterfalls. I suppose this reflects my own life, and a million other girl’s lives, because they have so many thoughts inside them and sometimes just need to say aloud, even to no one.
This sparks my imagination because I can think about why and where the girl is singing, and why there is nobody listening to her. It also gives out a sense of wonder and mystery.
The images in my mural that convey this are the waterfalls and the lack of people.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be the Louvre, because it is the most famous art museum in the world, and a lot of people go there every day. It would be presented next to some of the most famous and beautiful paintings in the world, and a lot of people would see it.
The purpose would be to let people feel a personal connection to this mural. Maybe for people who don’t feel the way the painting represents, maybe they can be more aware that others may feel this way sometimes and try to help and be there for them more.
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is near the Central Park in New York City, because it’s a very popular place in America. People go there every day, which means they will pass by my mural. Plus, it is nature, which connects to my mural.
The meaning/purpose would be different here because then it wouldn’t be for show and not among a thousand others in the Louvre. In Central Park, it would have a more of an impact and be more memorable. It would also be more of an expression and more street-like than it would be if it were in the Louvre, because the Louvre is full of elegant and very serious art projects. There, the art style is a bit more different from mine. Lastly, the time periods are very different. A lot of the paintings there are from time periods like the Renaissance, and about things like religion, realism, etc. Mine is completely different, and I think it would be more relevant at somewhere like Central Park.
The mural I made is about the paradoxes in life. For example, on the other side of the tram, I wrote "This statement is false." However, that statement above can't be true or false, because if that statement was, true, then it would still be false because the statement said it was false. However, if the statement was false, then that mean it would be true, since the statement said it was false. That is an example of a paradox, which is something that can be neither true nor false.
I wanted to make a mura about paradoxes in order to raise awareness about the bigger paradoxes in life. One example of a paradox in life is the paradox of poverty.
Economists also call the paradox of poverty the welfare trap. The cruel irony of these welfare trap is that they were designed to help the very people they are harming. Social Welfare is basically government subsidy for those unemployed and in poverty. The idea is that is you fall beneath a certain income, then you would gain a subsidy, and once you receive a job with a specific income, then it would stop. However, once they get the job, they still have to pay for transportation to the job, childcare when they're at work, etc. So, this would mean that they might actually earn less money than they would with the subsidy.
The mural I’ve made is about my life, it's about how one side is colorful, but the other side is just black and white, the meaning behind it is that my life is not always full of joy and happiness, it also comes with some misery and sadness, so what i'm trying to tell you through this mural is that in life, there is always going to be a mix of emotions, but as you can see on the top of my train, the color had taken over the dull and gray shading.
This sparks my imagination because it represents every human being’s life and emotions
The images in my mural that convey this are the colors, as you can see, one side is full of color and the other shapes, but the other side is just a boring, black wall, it also kind of looks like a big black window because of the tiny windows in the tram forming together, and that kind of represents sadness if you picture the scenery having thunderstorm and rain.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be somewhere everyone can see.
The meaning/purpose would be because I want everyone to know that nobody will always be happy, everyone has their own issues, and I want the mural to tell them that it's ok to be miserable or sad sometimes.
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is my bedroom wall
The meaning/purpose would be different here because if it was placed in a public place, it doesn't mean i will go to it every day, but if it was in my bedroom wall, it could remind me that it's ok to feel bad, because sometimes i forget that.
The mural I’ve made is about music and mainly includes a line that flows through the whole team.
This sparks my imagination because I really enjoy music and I think of this as the lyrics floating around my surrounding.
The images in my mural that convey this are music lyrics.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be a short but long building.
The meaning/purpose would be because it can cover the whole building and it will look like the building is covered and surrounded by music.
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is my bedroom wall.
The meaning/purpose would be different here because I actually spend a lot of time in my room and if there is music covering it which is something I like, it would give me a very positive feeling.
The mural I’ve made is about the picture of the greatest meme of all time with the concept of “Black Lives Matter” controversy that sparked during May 25th 2020, after George Floyd died from being murdered by a police.
This sparks my imagination because I wonder why such heroic figures (police) can be racist and decided to murder a black man.
The images in my mural convey the scene of people protesting against G.FLoyd’s death and Roddy Ricch and Dababy’s song “Rockstar” in response to this.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be one of the trams in Hong kong.
The meaning/purpose would be to make the Chinese stop being so racist when it comes to the black race.
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is on a famous wall in Hong kong because I want to spread the message to more people when they visit that place. One place that meets that description is probably one of the streets in Wan Chai.
The meaning/purpose would be different here because there could be different thoughts going through people’s minds when they see my mural and it could be negative or positive depending on the mental conditions of that person. We just need to hope for the best that the thought is positive.
The mural I’ve made is about claws, you can use claws for a lot of different things.
This sparks my imagination because I believe you can find out anything by digging, using your claws, people have different claws, but you just have to try to dig.
The images in my mural that convey this are the different claws and the marks they create.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be in a public space, this way it could get more awareness, people would think about it more and realize that they all have claws and just need to use them.
The meaning/purpose would be to motivate people to start using their abilities to their maximum abilities.
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is on walls, a wall where people would look at and actually pay attention to.
The meaning/purpose would be different here because people would have way more time to think about what they have to do/their abilities and how they should use it.
The mural I’ve made is about flowers and butterflies, when the flowers bloom it represents life and happiness, and as the flower dies it represents death and sadness.
This sparks my imagination because looking at flowers makes me think of all kinds of stories and the beauty of them when they bloom and spark. When I close my eyes I can imagine myself in a park with the breeze blowing against the flowers and then could smell the fragrance of flowers. Which is also why I decided to create this mural.
The images in my mural that convey the beautiful flowers in a park swaying in the wind.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural on a wall so that I could have a larger campus without having to change parts of the design fitting it on a tram.
The meaning/purpose would be that blooming flowers are always so beautiful, but beauty is always short-lived, and when the flower witters the beauty would also disappear.
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is probably in my bedroom, so when I wake up every day I could motivate myself and think about wonderful things in life.
The meaning/purpose would be different in my bedroom because I spend most of my time every day in here and I could really just look at it and be more positive.
The mural I’ve made is about nature. It’s really just about nature and two people camping in the forest, and not much else.
This sparks my imagination because this was almost a complete copy of what I remember from my time in Canada camping. It was just a really chill summer, and I was enjoying my time in nature before Covid-19. It was just a really nice time with my family, so it was just a time before COVID-19, and was memories of the time when masks weren’t such a common item.
The images in my mural that convey this are the people roasting marshmallows with a tent nearby. There are in a pine forest somewhere nice.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be in a tunnel or someplace where the mural will kind of surround a person, making it seem like you were standing there
The meaning/purpose would be just to look like you were surrounded by nature and basically be a cool spot to relax for me.
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is on some room in my house or a place where I am a lot.
The meaning/purpose would be different here because it wouldn’t be for everyone and just for me as a wallpaper. This would reflect on my life being like an endless maze in a forest, and kind of just being interesting.
( I dont have a picture of my tram yet)
The mural I've made is about coping with the pandemic. Living with covid could seem hopeless sometimes, whether you are in quarantine, stuck at home, or you've simply lost interaction with others. You could start to feel a mix of emotions, maybe a feeling that you are being sucked into a void where nothing makes sense anymore. Sometimes people will feel a sense of despair, hopelessness. The anxiety of when the world will return to normal.
This sparks my imagination because I have rarely felt like this, but I am sure that other people in the world have. This makes me think about how lucky I am and makes me want to appreciate everything that I have even more.
The images in my mural convey an octopus whose eyes appear to be sunk into his face from anxiety, depression and hopelessness. But on the top of the mural, we see the same octopus, but this time wrapping itself around a mass of something, something big and hard to embrace. But he still manages to hold it in. This mass represents the pandemic and the challenges that come our way in life. The octopus wrapping itself onto the mass represents humans embracing the pandemic and learning to co-exist with it. We have to be strong and adaptable if we want to survive this pandemic.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I would want to paint my mural would be a tram or a bus, since it would move around a lot and would not be stationary, a lot more people would get to see it and hopefully it would convince them to stay strong during these harsh times.
The mural I’ve made is about:
It is about one of favorite Korean boy groups named “Stray Kids” or “Skz”, and their fandom name “Stay” shows their albums and songs as the journey to reach “Stay”.
This sparks my imagination because
I regularly listen to their songs and I have watched their survival show's ups and downs so it makes me feel a type of bond to them.
The images in my mural that convey this are
Their songs, album, name and fandom name.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be an airplane the purpose would be because I would like the world to know of their existence.
The mural I’ve made is about the different gaming backgrounds and logos, it consists of many things that I like and also what Alex likes.
This sparks my imagination because I love gaming a lot and whilst I am gaming, this mural can make me feel better and make me want to try hard while gaming.
The images in my mural that convey this are the ROG logo and TUF logo, which are both gaming companies that I really like.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be on a wall right beside an ROG hq, because that would make me finally proud of myself and it would also make the ROG creators feel happy.
The meaning/purpose would be to motivate me to do better in things.
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is a random wall in a random place, because that would let people see my mural and probably make them think whoever drew that mural is pretty cool!
The meaning/purpose would be different here because it would make other people see my mural and maybe even motivate them.
The mural I've made is about music, and different ways to express it.
This sparks my imagination because I think music is very creative and unique, unlike many things that are very straight-forward in life. This is why I like music so much. I also like composing music, and I like how I can express how I feel in music however I like.
The images in my mural that convey this are the music staff and keyboard that goes on seemingly forever . This is also why I like music. There is no end to it.
If I could paint it anywhere, one place I wish I could paint my mural would be on a tram.
The purpose is to inspire people from different places to be imaginative and creative, and in different ways in life as well, not just music.
Another place I wish I could paint my mural is on a wall of a music learning place. This is because this would inspire the students to think that music is a free way to express yourself rather than labor and hard work.
The purpose would be different here because this is for students who learn music only, but it could really change how they think about music entirely.
