Something that sparks my imagination & curiosity is the mythology and folklore of north east asia.
You can see this in my artwork from the dragon, which is in the north east asian style of dragons (no wings, snake-esc like body, deer like horns, and whiskers) and the oni, or the ogre on the bottom left hand side of the mural idea, which is from japanese mythology. I also included the waterfall and mountains, because of how these elements appear in many north east asian artworks and tales.
One place I would paint my mural is in/on the outside of a movie theater. I would do this because I think that the elements of this mural would fit in a theater, and it would also be good for a theater because of how many movies have the elements in my mural idea.
Another place I would paint my m ural in is a museum, or outside of a museum, because of how many museums feature things or objects that have the elements of the mural idea on them.
In my idea, I have drawn my mural on a wall, because it is just easier to draw on, and also is able to show the mural idea clearly. I think that I did my mural idea decently well, and gave a decent representation of the north east asian culture, mythology, and folklore.
Something that sparks my imagination & curiosity is the technological future of earth and its inhabitants
You can see this in my mural idea, as one half is the current earth (right side) and the other side represents the far future of earth.
One place I would paint my mural is a computer. The meaning/purpose would be what the computer that it is one might become.Another place I would paint my mural is on a wall. The meaning/purpose would be so that people that pass by can have something to think about. In my idea, I’ve drawn my mural on tram, because this way people can think about it as they see a slow moving tram pass by them.
Some things that sparks my imagination and curiosity include other life forms, space wars, and how humans have to improve as one or be eliminated. This can be seen in my mural. My mural is about humans fighting a war amongst themselves while a more advanced life form stares at them and prepares to invade, which incorporates all the elements that spark my imagination and curiosity stated above. Somewhere I would paint this mural would be some sort of large visible wall to really raise awareness and to come together as one to face bigger threats, which could be alien abduction but also things like Climate change. I could also paint this on some sort of vehicle (buses, trams, etc) for the same reason as the wall and as it can move around and spread the message. I think I did ok on this project but I really could’ve managed my time better and potentially could’ve colored some things or outlined them.
Something that sparks my imagination and curiosity is space, because we do not know if there are any more planets out there, with living things just like us. I imagine that the universe is really big, and our solar system is only one of the many ones. You can see this in my mural ideas because I drew our solar system, and the nasa spacecraft. As you can see there is a UFO with an alien inside it, this shows my interests of other living things. One place I would like to paint my mural is outside a public library because there it inspires me and lets out my creativity and curiosity as the books are good. The meaning would be that the library a vast place with cool books waiting for you around the corner. Another place I would paint my mural would be outside NASA because it would be cool if I had a mural there. I think the purpose would be to encourage future generations of astronauts to explore our galaxy. In my idea, I’ve drawn my mural on a normal wall because there are plenty of blank walls in Hong Kong and also it fits the space idea more. I think that I could have put more thought into this.
Something that sparks my curiosity is the different ways something can be perceived.
You may see my mural idea as a broken city, but I see it as the overdramatic fate of Hong Kong if we continue down the path of pollution.
A place I’d paint my mural would be on a public wall, like a building people often pass by to raise awareness about what’s happening around the world, how pollution is affecting our lives.
Another place I'd like to paint my idea would be a school wall because students can learn about this subject.
In my idea, I’ve drawn my mural on a wall because it would look better on a wall, because tourists often take pictures with art on walls, making it easier to raise awareness.
Something that sparks my imagination & curiosity is books that don’t have pictures, since they let you imagine how the scenario is like, and how the characters look like, sort of like building your own universe when you read, since there isn’t any visual representation of the book’s storyline.
You can see this in my mural ideas because there is a growing world that is coming out of the book hunger games, as if your imagination is wrapping you in, bringing you into its wonders and possibilities, causing you to become more curious and want to read more. I also showed the world in action, with Katniss warming up by the fire, and a parachute flying down.
One place I would paint my mural is on a wall of a bookshop. This is because it would show people that their imagination can come through when reading, and hopefully persuade more people to read books, no matter what genre.
Another place I would paint my mural is at a school, to make students spark their imagination when they read, and for them to truly picture their own universe in their head.
In my idea, I’ve drawn my mural on a wall, because it was the easiest one I could do, with the amount of detail I had, I wouldn’t be able to draw on the details and blemishes of a tram or stairs.
Something that sparks my imagination & curiosity is that fact that humans have overcome many “barriers” and challenges to get to this point, and even though the current pandemic may seem hopeless, we will always find a way to overcome this obstacle.
You can clearly see this in my mural idea, because the mask in the middle represents the Covid-19 pandemic. This mask also symbolizes all the obstacles that humans have faced. On both sides of the mask, there are 2 angel wings, one withered but one healed and normal one. The withered angel wing represents the fear and pain that everyone goes through to overcome a challenge. But the healed wing represents the fact that we can all rise over the obstacles and have hope.
One place I would paint my mural is the side of a hospital or medical building. This is because the mask represents the pandemic, and that relates to medical buildings, but the left wing will give people hope and courage.
Another place I would paint my mural is beside a wall in a public, popular random pedestrian walkway. The meaning of this location is because everyone will see this mural, and will be filled with courage and hope, while diminishing negative thoughts.
In my idea, I’ve drawn my mural on a wall, because, again, I want this mural to give people hope for overcoming challenges and obstacles, but also remind them of the mistakes they made, and hopefully they will be inspired to learn from their mistakes, and create a better future and environment for everyone. The red and orange background will also give the effect of energy and passion, unpowering everyone around it, and lightening the atmosphere.
Something that sparks my imagination & curiosity is abstract art and art that focuses on the unrealistic, for example sirens and pixies. You can see this in my mural idea because, in my mural there is a pixie with butterfly wings and dress, and flying a few feet away is a sprite (in this case it resembles the same kind of being as Peter Pan) the floating islands add to the fantasy of this mural
One place I would paint my mural is on the side of a s book store. The meaning/purpose would be to bring more people into the book store to experience the stories in the books. It would allow people to be attracted
Another place I would paint my mural is outside a theme park like universal studios or Disney world. The meaning/purpose would be to express the fun, creative nature of these types of parks. It could express the fantasy of the stories, to help advertise and attract people.
In my idea, I’ve drawn my mural on a wall, this is painting of a pixie sitting on a floating island, and a sprite flying in the air, dandelions substituted wind, it simulates wishes and freedom, I think that it looks pretty good, I tried my best and achieved my goal. It would be outside a bookstore wall to allow readers to try and intrigue and interest customers that would want to potentially get books, it would make the readers WANT to read books and learn their stories.
Something that sparks my imagination and curiosity are hot air balloons, cats, and mountains. I'm curious of these because they seem really mysterious to me, the way hot air balloons work, how living things act, and how nature affects the world so widely.
You can see this in my mural idea because I’ve included a cat inside of a hot air balloon, as well as clouds, mountains, and more. The mountains and clouds in the background gives so much more life and reality into this mural drawing.
One place I would paint my mural is in a library. The purpose/reason is because this mural can spark younger children’s imagination as well, and is kind of like a fantasy, which would fit in a kids library.
Another place I would paint my mural is on the walls of a swimming pool. The purpose/reason is because it seems like it symbolizes for the kids that are swimming to have fun and always be curious.
In my idea, I would’ve drawn my mural on a tram, because if it was ona tram, everyone would see it as it passes, and would help inspire and spark other’s imaginations like it did to me.
Something that sparks my imagination and curiosity is when people do different things or if people have its own side and opinion. Also learning new things will also spark my imagination.
You can see this in my mural ideas because that a lot of them have people in it and also they are doing different things. Some are cooperating with each other.
One place I would paint my mural is on a wall near some place that people work. The reason I will paint it there is because more people can see and people can know about other people's jobs and what other people do.
Another place that I would paint my mural is near a school because in my mural have people doing different activities and also my mural also show different things in the word and school teaches you a lot of stuff, so I think that it will be a good fit if I paint this on a wall near school.
Something that sparks my imagination and curiosity is night views, building structures, roses, lanterns, and flower trees. You can see that in my mural because there are a lot of Chinese like structures, the time of the day is night, there’s also a rose on the girl’s mask, there are a lot of cherry blossoms at the bottom of the mountain and there are lanterns hung around the buildings.
One place I would paint my mural is somewhere that a lot of people can see, for example outside malls or on a big wall where it is easy to spot. The purpose would be that a lot of people can see it and easily spot it from far away. When they see it they can feel like there is hope or that they can feel inspired to work harder, they can also admire it and the details would be there.
Another place I would paint my mural is somewhere near water for example the pier because the setting in the mural would look better and a lot of people who come on and off the boats would be able to see the mural. The meaning would be that the night is really pretty and it would inspire people to look at the night sky and depending on the weather, people would feel inspired by the view.
In my idea, I’ve drawn my mural on a wall because people can see the mural without missing spots and they can easily see the full picture. It also stays at the same place so people can admire it without the mural moving. The mural can inspire people who walk by the wall or people who admire the mural.
My final mural was the combination of mural 1 and 3 and features a space station as the centrepiece with alien life forms and spaceships surrounding it, with a planet in the background. It sparks my imagination and curiosity as it represents the future of humanity, and the possible life-forms out there in space (note: life forms cannot survive in the vacuum of space). It makes me wonder: What types of extraterrestrial life-forms are out there, how do they behave and what do they look like? What might humanity become in the future? Will we be a multi-planet species? Can we possibly build a ‘second home’ for humanity? You can see all these questions in the mural, with the futuristic space station and all the interplanetary vehicles (aka spaceships), as well as the alien planet and the curious-looking life forms surrounding it.
One place I would paint my mural would be a school or STEM learning center. If the mural was in one of those places, students would be inspired by it to pursue STEM-related careers, be more curious about outer space and the secrets it holds, and imagine what our future would be like. All in all, it would definitely be inspirational for the students at the school/learning center, and holds great value within.
Another place I would like to paint my mural would be a movie theater. This is due to what the mural pictures, as it fittingly depicts what usually happens in a generic science-fiction movie. It summarizes all of the science-fiction genre as a whole, and tells the audience what they might expect in the movie they will be watching.
However, I would most like to paint this mural a research lab. This mural shows the world the scientists and researchers there are creating, and would give them more incentive to work harder and make this mural a reality. It might also give the scientists some ideas/inspiration on their projects, as it shows many futuristic vehicles and machines. The mural would be very fittingly put in a place where they are trying to make the mural into a reality, and it would also look very aesthetically pleasing in the otherwise clinical and bare walls of a research lab.
Something that sparks my imagination & curiosity is animals as well as abstract. Animals have many different features which shows their personality or how they would act normally.
You can see this in my mural ideas because the dirt the animals are standing on is colored in an abstract way.
One place I would paint my mural is outside an animal saving charity, the purpose is to support them as well as attract other attention about saving animals.
Another place I would paint my mural could be at a zoo or a place to see animals, the purpose is to attract visitors and also inform them about what animals are located in this zoo. In my idea, I’ve drawn my mural on a wall because it would be able to draw others attention and they would like to donate to help out the animals that are going through bad times.
The glasses spark my imagination since I can see clearly with it and when I don't have glasses on, I am very curious on what I am looking at. Skating gives me curiosity since I am very curious if I I can land.
You can see this in my mural since the dog is wearing the glasses to see clearly so he can skate. One place I would paint my mural is at the park because the stuff I drew on this mural is like a park. There are benches, trees and even a sign that says “park”. Another place I would paint my mural is a dog park because in this mural, I had a dog in it and it was one of my main things in the mural. In my idea, I’ve drawn my nural on a wall because it is a colourful drawing so people walk past can see it and take picture of it.
Something that sparks my imagination and curiosity is how humans are destroying the nature and things that we have not fully explored yet.
You can see this in my mural ideas as one of my ideas is about a healthy nature vs a ruined nature. Another mural idea I had was with an astronaut in space with planets included.
One place I would paint my mural is on a wall, because it would be eye catching and a lot of people walk across walls.
Another place I would paint my mural is somewhere around a park or a place with nature, because people there would be getting along with nature, and I want them to be aware of this problem and take care of nature more, since they are getting along with nature too. In my idea, I’ve drawn my mural on a wall, because it catches a lot of people’s attention. Walls can be anywhere, and with my mural added on to it, even more people would notice it.
Something that sparks my imagination and curiosity is the actions and movements that humans are able to do to show the care for many things, the 8 + 1 virtue in ISF, the “Ren” and “Ai” virtue represents the meaning of love and care which sparked my imagination to do my final mural as this.
My intentions were to show out the actions of care and how others are able to care for others without saying but instead doing. I wanted to show the importance of love and care, without care in this world there would be no love nor would there have any relationship and happiness or positivity in this world. This final mural has also been the combination of my three other mural designs.
One place I would paint my mural is on a wall of a building that creates objects/ products related to care, the purpose would be to raise awareness and show the purpose of the company’s creations, and show people the true meaning of care.
Another place I would paint my mural is on restaurant, the meaning would be to have customers come with family and friends and look at my mural and understand they they should be caring themselves and the city and others.

Computer game designs were one of the things that sparks my imagination. The game Among Us, which is a computer game that blew up in 2020, which is what my mural is about. One place I would paint my mural is somewhere that has something to do with gaming, such as a computer lab, because gaming and mostly coding is one thing the computer could be used for. (because all computer games are coded)
The game Among Us itself is a game related to hard-working, friendship and betrayal. I think my mural has represented the traits, from the orange crewmate on the back fixing the weather node, representing hard-working (virtue ping); the impostor getting voted out, representing betrayal on the crewmates; and the crewmates surrounding the lava pool looking at the ejected impostor, representing friendship (virtue he).
The colors I chose for my design are the colors on the Among Us Polus map, which is Purple and Black, representing the planet and space. The crewmate colors are brighter colors in the color wheel, such as yellow, lime, cyan and orange, which shows a contrast to the background, making it stand-out a bit more in the dark background of the polus outpost.
