JANUARY UPDATES:
General Reminder:
Please ensure that all groups eating outside the cafeteria do not dispose of milk in sinks. We suspect the unpleasant smell in the maker-space and art room was caused by milk rotting in the drains.
Events & Notices:
Student of the Month: Nomination forms for January are now available here.
Staff Meeting: Scheduled for Thursday, January 30, 2025, after student pickup. Please bring a pen.
Emergency Response Scenario: FYI, a tabletop session with representatives from multiple schools and EMS agencies will take place on Monday afternoon, January 27, 2025, in the art room.
Request, Toy Vehicles Needed: For a visual aid in that upcoming emergency response scenario, we are looking for toy buses, police, and firefighter vehicles, or any small general toys. If you have any to lend, please let me know.
Music Recommendation:
For your listening pleasure, check out Mr. Bunio’s band. I recommend the track "Anywhere But Here," which I have on repeat.
Email Communication:
I realize I've sent more emails than usual this month. Moving forward, I will consolidate more information into fewer messages.
TEACHERS Important Emails to Review:
"Reminder: Office Referrals in Infinite Campus" sent on January 24, 2025
"Important Reminder: Ensuring All Students Are Picked Up Before Leaving" sent on January 24, 2025
This is a repeat, I am including it as a reminder that this is also going on. Hence the juggling image.
Winter Fastbridge Family Reports
This link is what parents will receive today. I will print off the math and reading reports. The Office will get you the printouts. I need classroom teachers to send the sheets home on Tuesday 1/7/24.
This is the next round. This post does contain a Teacher TO DO ITEM by 1/8/25.
Welcome back! I hope you all had a restful and rejuvenating break. As we kick off the new year, let’s focus on revisiting and reinforcing our classroom routines and expectations. Establishing these foundations will ensure we continue building a positive and productive learning environment for our students.
We do have a staff meeting right after parent pickup on Thursday. In the Servery.
Additionally, intervention groups will resume this week:
ADSIS and Reading Corps will begin on Thursday, January 2nd.
Cathy, Steph, Mary, and Carolyn will start their groups on Friday, January 3rd.
The Intervention Team will assist with transitioning students to their groups on these two days. After that, students should be familiar with their schedules and able to meet their groups independently.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication as we get back into the swing of things. Let’s make this a strong start to the new year!
Together at West, We Shine!
