Donations
Per ISD 192 school board policy 706 - Acceptance of Gifts, the school board may receive, for the benefit of the school district, bequests, donations, or gifts for any proper purpose. The school board shall have the sole authority to determine whether any gift or precondition, condition, or limitation on use included in a proposed gift furthers the interests or benefits of the school district and whether it should be accepted or rejected.
Booster clubs make financial donations to the Farmington Area Public Schools. Booster clubs do not make purchases on behalf of the Farmington Area Public Schools and donate the item(s) purchased.
Financial donations relating to in-season trips need to be approved by the Farmington Area Public Schools school board. See the Team Travel section of the hub for more information.
When making a donation, booster clubs should complete the appropriate fundraising request form and follow the procedures listed below. Remember, booster club money may not pay for the participation of students on a non-school team or in a camp or clinic.
FAQ - The booster club donated a physical item to the District. If we sell it, where does the money go? Check out the Resale of Donated Item Procedure establish by the ISD 192 School Board in 2022.
501(c)(3) Reminder: Remember, money spent by booster clubs must benefit ALL members of a team, not just a select few.
