Advertising
Booster Clubs will use a variety of advertising to promote their organization and the activities of the Booster Club to raise funds. Advertising that is planned for district venues (programs, banners, posters, etc.) must comply with the school district’s policies.
The Farmington Athletic/Activities office must approve all advertisements in printed programs for Farmington events. Please email or fax a copy of your ads for approval prior to printing. The Farmington Athletic/Activities office reserves the right to deny or pull any advertising that has not been approved or is not consistent with district values.
For Tiger Fan Club Members, the TFC Advertising Approval Request form must be completed prior to advertising approval. This form must be completed and submitted to the TFC prior to any advertising taking place at a Farmington High School athletic or activity event.
For booster clubs who are not TFC members, the booster president and head coach should schedule a meeting with the activities director to review advertising for approval.
Policy No. 902 - Use of School District Facilities and Equipment
Booster Clubs Should...
Seek District approval before promising a sponsor any type of advertising.
Use their predetermined budget to meet fundraising goals through advertising. Many businesses are asked by multiple programs for financial support. Raising excessive funds simply to raise a lot of money is detrimental to our small businesses and our programs.
Booster Clubs Shout Not...
Hang banners, posters, or sponsorship material in District facilities without prior approval.
Use student-athletes in advertisements in a way that violates the MSHSL Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) policy.
