The International School of Belgrade is committed to offering students the opportunity to nurture their physical and mental development through participation in the After School Activities Program by:
Furthering the knowledge, understanding, and skills developed within the curriculum.
Encouraging positive participation, building school culture and teaching pride within our community.
Developing commitment, organization, and self-discipline.
ISB supports education beyond the classroom, and encourages students to become involved in a variety of extra-curricular opportunities, to support a healthy, balanced and holistic lifestyle.
Activities are generally offered in three sessions. Instruction is in English, and activities are designed to appeal to students of different age groups.
Students select activities based upon course descriptions that are shared prior to the beginning of each session. Enrollment is voluntary, but any change to, or absence from, an activity must be reported to the CCA coordinator in advance.
Students enrolled in a CCA are dismissed at 3pm and report immediately to the playground near the Art room, or to the MPR on a rainy day. Instructors will collect the students and escort students to the activity by 3:15pm. Students will remain in the activity, with the instructor, for the entire period.
Students are required to demonstrate the same type of appropriate behavior during the CCA program as they do during the regular school day. At 4:15pm, the instructor will escort the students outside to the meeting place. Rainy day pick-up is in the MPR. Please be prompt to collect your child at 4:15pm.
Children who cannot follow the CCA guidelines will be withdrawn from the activity and will wait in the school office. Repeated misbehavior at an CCA may result in exclusion. The principal will communicate this to the parents directly.
Further to ISB’s CEESA participation, activities are also organized according to students’ interests. Students are provided with a full list of activities and information about how to sign up online (via the student portal) in advance of the sign up date by the Athletics and Activities Director.
Commitment to an ISB activity requires students to participate fully in scheduled practices and rehearsals to the very best of their ability. Students who miss more than three sessions in a season will be asked to exit that activity. If a student drops out of an activity after sign ups they will be ineligible for any other activity during that season.
