Transport

Buses

Students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 may use ISA buses.  Check main routes here , and contact our transport coordinator, Ron Falconer, for more information. Please also read these bus guidelinesBus fees are included in corporate fees but come at an additional cost for others, which are £750 per year for the first student and £600 per year for further students from the same family.  (These are pro-rated for any students joining the school during the year)

Buses run once in the morning for arrival at ISA between 8am and 8.10am, and once in the afternoon, leaving at 3.10pm.

There are designated pick-up and drop-off points and drivers are authorised to stop at the official points only.  Buses depart from the campus at 3:10pm each day.

There are no buses following after-school activities; parents are responsible for the collection of their children promptly at the end of the activity.

If a student is to ride a bus other than his/her assigned bus, an email should be sent to the Transport Co-ordinator (rfalconer@isa.aberdeen.sch.uk) no later than 9:00am on the day of the request; for Elementary students, the respective teacher should be copied on the email.  If there are any problems or concerns, please contact the Transport Co-ordinator.

 Cycling

Students may cycle to school, wearing a helmet.  They should walk their bikes once on campus, and park their bikes in the bikesheds by Pitfodels house.  More information about bike safety can be found here

Driving

On campus, pedestrians have priority.  Drive below 10 mph and remember children may emerge suddenly from between parked cars at any time.  Watch this safety video.

Numbered bays are for staff parking only.  Please refer to this map.  Preschool to Grade 2 drop off and parking is first left as you enter the campus.  The second left is for school buses only; there is a barrier preventing access for other vehicles.  Turn right for the drop and parking for Grades 3 and above.

If you have a child in each section (for example Grade 1 and Grade 6), then drop off both where the youngest child would go.

Students driving to and from school must submit proof of a UK driver’s licence and have written parent permission.  A form is available from the middle/high school secretary.  During the period of ‘Grade 12 Privilege’ in the second semester of Grade 12, students may not give lifts to other students during the school day.
