When we learned how to use i-Ready at the PD on Voting Day, the presenter didn't put this way, but this is what I heard (or wanted to hear)
There may be other ways to log on (or login - what do I care?), but this is how I do it.
Click where is says Selection One and choose one of the limited topics
I chose Expression, Equations and Inequalities (even though we don't do inequalities in this unit)
There is also a link to see all students, but it doesn't show their levels like the Understanding Group does.
If you click on Group D, it just shows the kids in the grouping, not their levels.
You can check the levels of the students. To the right of this is a link that says View Resources that says what you should look for with the different kids.
On the right, ther eis a link for learning progressions
They are pretty obvious, and they are listed in the teacher's edition of the textbook.
If you click at the top on Reports, then choose Math under Instructional Groups, you can see the instruction groups of the kids.
Instructional groups show the students and their scores. The students names on the left are not visible, to protect PII.
Below the instructional groups are the priorities for that group.
On the right hand side, under resources, there are various tools to help make sure your kids are catching up on their instruction.
