AFROZA

Afroza - The Western Dance Society of Indraprastha College for Women, is amongst the top 15 teams of the Delhi University Dance network. It is symbolic of dance enthusiasts who have come together in pursuit of excellence in dance. Afroza began its journey with contemporary dance styles such as jazz and vogue but in the past years we have expanded our horizon and aced street styles like Hip-Hop, Waacking, House, Krump and Dancehall, to name a few. With an aim to upkeep with the evolving dance trends across the globe and learning something new, the society members tried to explore the Jamaican style Dancehall (badman and female dancehall) and successfully performed both of them on stage.

Afroza conducts auditions at the start of every academic year to welcome passionate students belonging to diverse backgrounds and courses of study to be a part of the society. The important prerequisites for any Afroza member are unparalleled passion for dance and a strong commitment towards the team. Owing to combined efforts of all the team members and their determination, Afroza has managed to win secure positions at various competitions in the past.
