About International Students' Desk

International Students’ Desk aims to provide support to incoming international students and foster an exciting and engaging environment throughout their college life. Since arrival in a foreign country and getting used to a new setting can be challenging, the Coordinator holds meetings and assists the students on a range of academic and/or personal issues. Special care and sensitivity is exercised as the students belong to different countries of the world, with different cultural and religious backgrounds. The Desk also coordinates with the Foreign Students’ Registry, University of Delhi to keep track of the admission and performance of students enrolled in the college. Over the last several years, students belonging to 20+ countries have taken admission in the college, including Nepal, Afghanistan, Zambia, Seychelles, Mozambique, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mauritius, China, Canada, USA, UK, Tibet, Uganda, Vietnam to name a few. These students are encouraged to organize creative events, presentations and exhibits to showcase their cultural heritage, and to enable exchange of information and knowledge. The motto of the society is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, a Sanskrit saying that means, “The world is one family”.
