Atelier du carnaval de Pornic + Workshop with Contact/Nosig (LGBTQ+ rights)
During our week in Pornic, we made some activities about how to be a committed citizen in the town. Two of them were workshops about the carnival in Pornic and the other one was about the LGBTQ+ rights.
On Monday, after spending the weekend with our French partners, the carnival association of Pornic, explained to us how they celebrate this tradition in his town. The association, called Le hangar des Carnavaliers, are the ones in charge of this workshop. They have explained to us the history, the tradition, how it works... Also, they show us the sculptures that they use each year.
Workshop with Contact/Nosig (LGBTQ+ rights)
On Tuesday, we visited the city of Nantes, where we went to Nosig, this is a LGBTQ+ center which has the purpose to inform, support and break the stereotypes that are imposed in the queer community and also other minor communities who suffer from discrimination. In this workshop, we have talked about what it means to be discriminated and all the things that are related to this aggression.
Workshop with Contact/Nosig (LGBTQ+ rights) (Marc)
On Tuesday, April 9, our French correspondents prepared to us a visit to the city of Nantes, which, in this group's program, began with a talk based on the LGBTQ+ community. The talk was directed by the Nosig counseling center, which provides care and advice to those who need it. The conference was presented as a space free of prejudices and open to all participation, in which was going to bring to the students knowledge about the forms of discrimination that exist and the lack of sense that they have. The speech was directed by two Nosig workers who also introduced the LGBTQ+ using some of their own experiences.
